In these miserable and depressing times there doesn't seem to be any reason not to have a Fridat night drink. I'll go and check out my cupboard in a bit to see what plonk I've got in there. Then I'll drink some of it - probably too much of it!

Just to keep you all company - and for no other reason - I'll be opening a can or two of cheap lager, followed by a 2018 Chianti, accompanied by a rare rump steak from Southwick butchers.

Having no meths in the cupboard (rookie mistake), I've plumped for a nice bottle of Port. I doubt there'll be much (if any) left by morning.

Fridat drinking was postponed as a local runner is doing the David Goggins' 4*4*48 and I noticed he had no company for his midnight run, so I kept him company for that.

Back home around 00:45 and a swift couple of cans of Thatchers Gold to re-hydrate.

Tower Brewery forget but three beers
Joules Pale Ale & Slumbering Monk
Burton Bridge Brewery Stailway to Heaven & Bitter
Black Ountry Ales (last pub, unsure what we had but times 2)
Oakham Brewery Inferno & Gold
Three in the Old Royal Oak but music was good so forgot to note ales.
Muirhouse Brewery Tick Tock Boom
Colchester Brewery 3 different ales
First stop today is the Burton Bridge Brewery and a specially brewed Ruby Red
Average price under £3.70 pint with a couple at £3.
My body is suffering.
