Man Utd started the Premier League season terribly but hindsight is not quite as harsh when considering the subsequent brilliance of Brighton and Brentford.

After our first win against Liverpool, on the BBC Have your say comments, there was this post:

'Brilliant performance by Brighton. I know it was just Liverpool, but you can only spank what's in front of you.'

Interesting the difference between us and Brentford. I have no interest in (and pay almost zero attention to) football in general outside of the Albion, but I'd always vaguely assumed that Brentford (and Fulham) players are routinely linked with big-money transfers to 'better' clubs in the same way our are. Apparently not, and Brentford are doing well with players who were with them in the Championship! Blimey. I know that their chairman (can't remember his name) and Tony Bloom work in the same industry, so I'd kinda assumed that Brentford's model of success was the same as ours. Apparently not.

Briefly spoke to Liverpool-supporting mate this morning and he said "I thought we were bad in the Brighton game, but the Wolves one was even WORSE!"

Imagine how shite they were in THAT game, then!
