but the odds of Reading winning are about even, which means there's half a chance it's down to us - everything to win/lose

I thought you were way out on this, but William Hill for instance has a Reading win at 4/5 (we're 6/5). We're both hugely over-priced here. The bookies' logic is that, because there's such a big prize in front of us both, the win's likely. I'd be hugely surprised if both won; in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if neither won. They're under-estimating the randomness of the Championship, the randomness of Reading and Brighton this season and, the desire of Dyche and Burnley.
