Sheffield Wednesday have signed former Sunderland goalkeeper Keiren Westwood on a two-year deal. The 29-year-old was released by the Black Cats this summer after making only 24 appearances across three seasons and arrives at Hillsborough on a free transfer. Westwood, who has been capped 16 times by the Republic of Ireland, came through the youth ranks at Manchester City before moving on to Carlisle, where he enjoyed a successful four-year spell. He continued to impress following his move to Coventry and will be determined to become a regular once again for the Owls after playing second fiddle at the Stadium of Light.
