Back in the days when I first supported the Albion I recall that Ryan was venerated in a similar way to Calderon or is it just the confused rememberings of my aged brain? Didn't his son suffer a similar career ending injury just as he was starting to show promise in the youth team?

I remember going to his testimonial game and did have a copy of the programme somewhere.
