I must also admit to having a bit of a 'thing' for goal nets and used to be able to ID quite a few grounds from a shapely stanchion or the drape of a net.

I'm a proud owner if a lovely stripey piece of our old Goldstone goals and used to rather like the old Wembley posts too. My favourite for sheer sexy bulginess though are the gloriously deep and delightful Mexico '86 goals, similar to Barcelona's nets of the time and closely replicated by Subbuteo's Mundial goals.

beautiful goals and nets . . . seem to remember the rear posts snapping if you were a more athletic keeper.
