[Albion] 'Eric & Dave' book launch - Sunday 25 September

A date for your diaries. The launch do for my new book 'Eric & Dave - A Lifetime of Football and Friendship' will be held on Sunday 25th September at Denton Island Bowls Club, Newhaven, Sussex, BN9 9BA, kicking off at 2pm.

Long story short - 'Eric & Dave' is the remarkable story of Eric Gill and Dave Hollins, two goalkeepers who first met at the Goldstone Ground way back in 1955. Almost 70 years later they remain the best of pals having lived long, eventful lives bookended by the horrors of World War Two and the Covid-19 pandemic.

Both Eric and Dave (now 91 and 84 respectively) will be there on the day signing copies and entertaining the troops in their own, inimitable style. If you're reading this, then consider yourself invited.

You're more than welcome BN9, as indeed is anyone else reading this. Just for info - the bar will be open providing drinks (soft, warm & alcoholic) along with bar snacks, but no other food (if it's lunch you're after, best eat beforehand). Kick off, as I said, is 2pm with things expected to wrap up around 4.30-5pm. Plenty of parking available. Also attending will be Brian Powney who, along with Charlie Baker, followed in Eric and Dave's footsteps between the posts for the Albion.
