Is this idea driven by desire for more profits ?
It sounds like a really poor idea. It is impossible to properly celebrate a goal with beer in hand so the contents will be thrown everywhere. People are going to be covered in beer every time the Albion score and that will cause confrontation.

Does it happen with Tea or coffee or Bovril ?

I went to watch Hamburg SV play at home, the last game before lockdown,. and was surprised and pleased to find we could not only take beer to the seats before the game started, but also go and refill during the game. We could also smoke in our seats as well.

People getting up wasn't a problem, as plenty of room, but after the first goal, I experienced a slight beer shower from somewhere, and on the second goal,( on watching the highlights ), a full pint hit a player celebrating, from the home end,to a Hamburg player,on his shoulder.

So, just two goals witnessed, and two unfavourable reactions from different ends of the ground, if they happened here.
