I've had a great time playing around with this recently, as the technology has evolved A LOT the last 18 months. I recommend everyone to play around with it.

These are some of the less fancy but still pretty web tools:
https://replicate.com/pixray/text2image
https://replicate.ai/mehdidc/feed_forward_vqgan_clip

This is the more complicated but powerful version (there are guides though if you google VQGAN+CLIP colab guide):
https://colab.research.google.com/drive/1ZAus_gn2RhTZWzOWUpPERNC0Q8OhZRTZ

Some of the stuff "I've" done:

Text prompt: "The most important event in Sweden in year 2048"
2048.png

Text: "Sexmachine attacked by cats"
tempfile (2).png

Text: "Swedish politics in the style of Wes Anderson"

This is image iteration 2500 (meaning it has been processed by the AI 2500 times)

This is what it looked like earlier, after some 200 or so iterations:

Text: "Photorealistic summer evening barbecue party in the hippie utopia"
278735092_1687540204942588_6609110195562831728_n.jpg

You can write anything and its a good idea to add instructions about different styles, like "Boris Johnson portrait in the style f HR Giger" or "Picasso painting for a rotten dog".

The attached photo below is my current project "The dreams of a young woman", currently about 1000 iterations into the process... not upsized it yet but looks like women are crazy.

Looks like the kind of thing that could get NSC shut down! That young woman's dreams are dodgy as ****!

I'm enjoying this too much. Changed it to line sketch and asked it to show me Tony Bloom punching Steve Parish.

Decided to expand the Bloom/Parish motif to a new medium

"Microsoft Teams Meeting"

Looks like just the sort of thing I would actually produce during such a meeting!

What the **** is this about?

Its the new shit, and bound to explode in a few months when the new tech, Dall-E 2 is released to others than beta users. This is a creation from Dall-E 2:

"A tiger in a lab coat with a 1980s Miami vibe, turning a well oiled science content machine, digital art"

It sure is addictive... I think the "easy" sites only allow you to run things for 30min a day but with Colab you can play around for more time (there are unknown limits set by Google and sometimes there's no GPU available to 'borrow', but you usually you can play around for 5 hours a day or so).

Its not too difficult.

One of the colab notebooks (there's a lot of them with different variations):

How to use it:

No idea how to remove attachments but as a bonus here's the picture my friend wanted when I made his Tinder profile:
