PL have voted to include the 5 year limit today - 15 in favour (including Chelsea), 2 against and 3 abstentions. Obviously won’t be backdated

The problem Chelsea will have is a similar one to Man Utd. They won’t be able to offload their shite players on huge wages as no one will take them.
In fact their problem will be greater as they’ve given players 7 year contracts and they don’t have the revenue that Man United have.
Having a sustainable model will enable clubs like us to slowly catch up with the spend now, regret it later mob.

The FFP profit in selling a player, to cover amortised fees on a £1.4b squad, only works on original academy/free transfer acquistions.
Selling expensively bought players who flopped, gives the opposite effect, a big FFP loss.
