Tracy Doe has backed Albion fans to turn out in force when their women’s side make their debut at the Amex.
The Seagulls aim to break the attendance record for a women’s league game in this country when they host Charlton on Sunday, December 6.
That figure currently stands at 3,180 for a top flight match between star-studded Manchester City and Notts County at the end of last season.
Albion chief executive Paul Barber revealed the lofty ambition in his programme notes for the Preston game last Saturday and Doe believes it is within reach.
The club’s elite women and girls’ football manager said: “It’s our first game at the Amex and it’s really important that we as a club and a community come together to support the women.
“I don’t know of a club that has the fans we have.
“We had more than 10,000 people at the Amex to see England play Montenegro and the way the cub and community got behind that showed the special fans we have.
“This is such a unique area and this match is another way of showing how we accept and support new and up-and-coming things.
“It would be great to get all the young girls who play football and the coaches to the Amex to support the Albion.
“It’s a great opportunity. I don’t think the club makes any secret that we want to play at the highest level, whether it be the men or the women, and I think seeing the women play at the Amex is a glimpse into the future.
“It’s also a bit of a thank you to the players who all work full-time and then train as semi-professional athletes.”
Albion remain top of Premier League south, despite a shock 2-1 defeat at lowly QPR.
Amy Taylor put them ahead in the second half but QPR recovered to hand the Seagulls their first defeat of the season.
Quite how Albion lost remains a mystery. Vicky Ashton-Jones was victim of what looked a poor decision as QPR levelled from a penalty and the leaders then wasted some golden chances.
Now they face a top-of-the-table six-pointer against Cardiff at Culver Road on Sunday (2pm) which offers a great chance to bounce back.
Doe, pictured, said: “It’s an opportunity for us to regroup and go again. We are still top of the league and playing some great football.”
Albion are on 25 points from ten games with Cardiff just a point behind.
Third-placed Charlton and fourth-placed Portsmouth also meet on a big day at the top.
Right-back Sophie Perry will link up with the squad after helping the Republic of Ireland to an outstanding 2-1 win in Portugal in a Euro 2017 qualifier in midweek.

The Irish came from a goal down as they recovered from a home defeat by Finland in their previous fixture.Perry said: “It was a tough battle but we showed so much grit and determination to get those three points that we thoroughly deserved.”
