For anyone who might be interested, the launch do for my new book 'Eric & Dave - A Lifetime of Football and Friendship' takes place on Sunday 2nd October at the Denton Island Bowls Club in Newhaven, Sussex, kick off at 2pm.
Long story short - 'Eric & Dave' is the remarkable story of Eric Gill and Dave Hollins, two goalkeepers who first met at the Albion way back in 1955. Almost 70 years later they remain the best of pals having lived long, eventful lives bookended by the horrors of World War Two and the Covid-19 pandemic.
For anyone who can't make it to the launch, signed copies of the book will be on sale at City Books on Western Avenue, Hove, from lunchtime on Monday 3rd October.
For anyone else who can't wait that long, 'Eric & Dave' is available now through all the usual outlets including Amazon and the publishers themselves, Pitch Publishing (www.pitchpublishing.co.uk).
