For a different read, I've recently enjoyed the Danny Baker autobiographies

Thanks again to everyone for all the suggestions.

Just in case you haven't read any Jeffrey Archer novels (please ignore the fact he was a politician for a while) they are absolute page turners.

I can ignore the fact that he was a politician however I can’t ignore the fact that he is a grade A ****.

If it hasn't already been suggested, the Harry Hole series by Jo Nesbo is fantastic.

Also the Bourne series by Eric Van Lustbader, the first 3 books were films but the books are much better of course.

With black humour;
Colin Bateman
Christopher Brookmyre (all good but The Sacred Art of Stealing is probably by favourite). He writes straight fiction under Chris Brookmyre which are good but not a good as the others in my opinion
Val McDermid
Stuart MacBride
The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman was a good read.
