The Home Secretary's husband has apologised for embarrassing his wife over an expenses claim which included two adult films he watched.

Richard Timney, who is also Jacqui Smith's parliamentary assistant, said he understood why people were so angry.

Ms Smith has agreed to pay back the parliamentary allowance which she said she "mistakenly" claimed for while billing for an internet connection.

No 10 said she did the "right thing" by quickly rectifying the matter.

Agreed, but when you have a government minister who has a Victorian attitude towards anything sexual such hypocrisy should be exposed.

Jacqui Smith is trying to close down prostitution by the back door, making it more dangerous for both working girls and their clients. The only winner will be the smug editorial writers of the daily rags from The Mail to The Guardian, who have their own agendas on this particular issue.

One other thing; why is she claiming expenses for an internet connection to her Midlands home, when she has been claiming that a spare room in her sister's house in London is her main residence? Its a bit rich that her husband is subsidised by the taxpayer to wank himself off...

I don't care that it's porn.

But, how does one mistakenly put their internet bill through their work finances? Either her husband (who works for her putting in expenses claims) is thoroughly inept and should be fired, or he is abusing the system and should be fired.

And that is the point critical point in a nutshell.

We could then go onto the rank arrogance and complete lack of emapthy with the suffering of the wider general public these days. I doubt anyone in the Private or even Public sector with an ounce of savvy would submit an expenses claim for a PPV film they had chosen to watch whilst staying at a hotel etc.

As I understand it 'poor' Jacqui was not just claiming for dirt flicks but other films like Oceans 13 as well!!!

What's amazing about the story though is where has this bloke been in the last 10 years? He must be a complete f***cking buffoon not to realise that the web is choc-a-bloc with free porn!!! A brilliant example if ever one was needed of how out of touch our political leaders are these days.

But there you are this is just another case of 4 legs good 2 legs better from the pigs in charge......................like the temporary suspension of the smoking ban for the G20 delegates. We must be mad.
