I think their early stuff was both better, when they were more new wave than pop.

E.g: Chant No 1 by Spandau and Planet Earth by Duran

Spandau Ballet. Duran Duran songs were largely shite with the exception of the one which went: "And the sun drips down very heavy behind, the front of your dress all shadowy lines.."

Voted BOTH but on reflection Duran Duran should be my fave as I saw them at Wembley in 2000 and listen to them alot more than the Span, both bloody BRILLIANT though!
