Not IMHO. Runs around a lot but most of the time achieves very little. We are going to miss Bas greatly - just wait and see.

I'm not so worried about Bas because I think Revell is an able replacement. However, I AM worried about losing O'Callaghan and Richards. IMHO, we will struggle without them.

I would send Revell out to a 2nd div club for a month, along with Elder, to get some games and score some goals. At the moment neither are good enough to get into out 1st XI.

Revell is better at winning balls from aimless hoofs, but Bas' knock downs from crosses and such are better, it's debatable whether Revell has better touch, he runs around more but he's not as good a finisher, Bas has not scored amazing amounts but he's got a lot of assists. I'm not at all convinced Revell is as effective a player. Maybe if he gets back to how he was the first three or four months when he came here.

I don't disagree with you, but with Savage gone, who would partner Forster in the short term???

Joe Gatting.......I know he's not the most popular player on our books but I still think he can prove himself and i'm sure he'd benefit a lot from playing alongside an experienced striker like Forster.

I like Revell; he has an excellent workrate and his awareness is good. His form around Christmas 2006 was excellent.

Wasn’t he also the preferred choice at the start of the season? I think this is his second season back in the league and I am sure, given a run in the side, he will do well again for us.
