[Albion] "West Brom, without a win in their last 20 Premier League games"

When they came to us they had won their first two league games ( Bmuff H 1-0 ) and ( Burnley A 1-0 ). They beat Accrington A 3-1 in the LC and then were beating Stoke at home before a terrible defensive mix-up gifted Crouch a goal ( 1-1 )
Although they haven't won at home since the opening day, seven of their next 10 at home have been draws and the only teams to have won at the Hawthorns have been Man C, Chelsea and Man U. So its pretty clear that they are difficult to beat at their place.
Their record against the Big 6 is better than ours......P 7 D3 L4. ( including away pts at Tottenham and Liverpool )

The trouble is....we are all fearful of the old law of averages kicking in. At some point, they will win another PL game and if they can't get up for tomorrow, then there is no hope for them.

Can I point out that we are not playing West Brom's record? We're playing West Brom. And all the evidence suggests that we're as good as them or better. So the players just have to go out at The Hawthorns tomorrow and prove it.

a) What does Danny Kelly know of us? Or any team outside the top six or seven?
b) I'd be happy if Pardew tries to beat us. But I think he might prefer to send his team out to do it.

I'm quite happy with this. It's part of the "we should be beating teams like Brighton..." mentality that has served us so well in recent times.

Long ball specialists WBA haven't had a classy striker in many many years.
A few weeks back, many including me thought that WBA and Swansea were hopeless cases. Their improvement, shows the total focus clubs have in keeping their mitts on PL status, whatever it takes.
This season there are no Sunderland/Boro/Villa type soft touches, taking relegation spots early on, easing the pressure on other clubs.

Lots of ability, but questionable attitude when things aren’t going his away, plus seemingly always injured.

Next up - a Chelsea team that hasn't scored or won in 3 consecutive games, a record breaking run for them.
