The Goldstone was certainly not immune. A shameful incident I remember was when we lost 3-0 to Oxford in the FA Cup in 1982. A group in the north stand stayed behind as Oxford celebrated with their fans in the NE corner and as their striker (who I think was Keith Cassells) ran past back towards the dressing room, they all sieg heiled and gave the nazi salute.

I can remember a banana being thrown on the pitch when Darren Moore got sent off for Doncaster at the last game at the Goldstone.

Yes, sadly that happened at the Goldstone. Racism still very much evident in the late 90s from Millwall fans when we played them at “home” at Priestfield - but their fans have always been a bit behind the curve.
