If we are including managers still being paid by a club, we'll need to add about 4 managers on for Leeds!

Wiki is showing the west ham job as vacant, for the sake of 5 days we may as well say big Sam is gone.

But they are also showing the Stevenage job as still belonging to Graham Wesley. Stevenage have already announced Teddy Sheringham as his replacement - a step further than West Ham have gone with Allardyce.

It is not about them being paid, it is about them officially/technically still being in the role - West Ham didn't announce Allardyce was sacked, they announced they would not be offering him a new contract. Those Leeds managers may still be getting paid (or they may have had their contracts paid up, I don't know), but they were no longer in the role. They had been moved aside for each following man.

With Clough leaving Sheff Utd does that mean that we wont be able to sell COG to them, perhaps hopefully somebody else in that division will come in for him

Possibly. Maybe the move for O'Grady was being pushed by someone else at the club. Maybe Clough will turn up at one of the other vacancies (Blackpool or Orient, or any others that may arise in the coming weeks) and want O'Grady there with him.

This. It really is a very simple concept I am baffled as to why so many people cannot grasp it in this thread.

I was being sarcastic.... I know this doesn't come across well on here.

We also need to include Brentford at some point, not sure when Warburton will officially be classed as left - 1st July? Wiki already showing the role as vacant.

When announcing Teddy Sheringham would take over 'in the summer' it was noted Wesley's contract expired at the end of may. We are now in June, so that moves Hughton up a place.
I'm going to assume the end of May is standard for manager's contracts, and say Big Sam is now officially gone from west Ham, moving Hughton up another place.
Warburton leaving has been made official with the announcement of Marinus Dijkhuizen as Brentford's new manager, lifting Hughton one more place.
Clements taking over at Derby doesn't change Hughton's position as McLaren's exit was confirmed as immediate last week.

So, Chris Hughton is currently 59th longest serving manager.

Watford have now confirmed Quique Flores as their new head coach, replacing Slavisa Jokanovic. Moving Hughton up to 58th.

Dick Advocaat was confirmed by Sunderland yesterday raising a bit of a quandary. He was initially appointed March 17th. On 27th of May, Sunderland officially announced he wouldn't continue as head coach. Yesterday, they announced he had signed again. None of this affects Hughton's position, so it isn't overly important, but, do we take his reign as from March 17th or from June 4th?
