Baffling question.
I'd rather be bouncing between the two leagues than never actually managing to go up (seems the only alternative people are suggesting).
That said, i'm pretty confident in the club and that we might even find some stability up there, which will be massive.

Of course we do. Ok so we might get the odd 'stuffing' from ManUre, or Arsenal/Man City/Chelski etc.. but as long as we hold our own and beat the lower league teams, there is no reason we can't become an 'established' Prem team with a good solid mid-table heritage. West Brom is owned by a locally born passionate businessman whose owned them for 10 years or so, their ground holds 26,000 and they've been in the Prem since the 09-10 season.

That sounds like hell. This is why I'm ambivalent around promotion. The scenario you've just painted whilst realistic seems unappealing and dull. 6/7 years of finishing 12-14th with games after March meaning nothing isn't for me.
I want us to go up for a Bloom the players and fans but personally the Prem isn't something I'm hugely bothered by.
It's been a 20 year mostly enjoyable journey to get here (3 titles, Cardiff and 2 relegations). I'm sure fans of Stoke & WBA haven't had half the dramas and fun we've had.

I was only asking fella, I thought all those years ago lets get to the championship have our own ground that is something to aspire too and we have, we are here and now we can push on through the ceiling.
I have read on here countless times people moaning about premiership money, teams and fans therefore the question.

Why does everyone assume it will not be exciting up there? I'd have a better time beating arsenal 1-0 to finish 17th than clinching promotion hitting burton for six.
The point is moving forwards as a club, and with some sustainability up there we could be in a better position than many clubs already there to build a platform for the future.

Wrong, just ask a Brighton fan - in 1979 we were promoted to Div 1 aka the Premier League in today's speak.
Then in 1983 we were FA cup finalists but were relegated from the top division.
Our Blackpool / Pompey fall from there resulted in a last game of the season finale to avoid the drop out of div 4 [now League 2] and into Conference football.
To say that if Brighton drop out of the PL at end of next season would be like Pompey and Blackpool is rubbish - it's the other way round. We did that in 1983 - 1997.
I'm sure other clubs have hit one of theses "big snakes" long before we did too.
As others have said, we're on the up [a ladder] just now - we've had 33 years of disappointment with only the occasional promotion season during this time - enjoy the ride ....
