What planet are you on? According to the BCC the UK economy is expected to grow by 3.2% this year, the CBI reports retailers are at their most optimistic since Aug 2002.

Expectation, optimism. Care to give us some hard facts instead?

God help us if Labour get back in.

In my lifetime, Labour governments have bankrupted the country twice (1974 to 1979 and 1997 to 2010).

That is no endorsement of the Tories, either.

Can anyone explain which set of useless c**** we are all meant to vote for considering none of them have any balls whatsoever in standing up for our country and not arse licking Europe.

Oh apparently that's UKIP or BNP. Christ is that my choice is it?

What truly chilling words.

You know it's the shit Milliband, not the half-decent one, right?

so true, incompetent as energy secretary, in the government that bankrupted the country, a Gordon Brown cheerleader, put in power by the unions as he's a weak willed puppet..... Has had every financial doom and gloom prediction he made, of the coalitions fiscal policy not working, explode in his face, came up with the shambolic energy freeze soundbite that has now stopped energy providers lowering prices for consumers even though there is a 36% drop in wholesale price.

The guy is a nerdy idiot who is silent on all the big issues, a soundbite only, focus group, union front man..... the real world is becoming more and more volatile, with big and real issues, and the clueless fool who would be UK commander in chief is Ed milliband?

If Scotland goes it alone , will labour ever get enough seats again to hold government ?

Hope someone more knowledgable than me can tell me .....

Of course they will. They'll just import a few million more Labour voters like last time they were in power.

I felt that 97 to 2010 surprised me - low inflation, fairly high employment & I got pay rises. Only bankrupt because of the banks and top bankers, who had to be bailed out or we would have all been in it. (it cost billions - hopefully we will get most of it back one day)

this Government insecure jobs, no pay rise for myself or wife, my Children's University fees up from £3K to £9K! Pension age up from 60 to 67 (very bad news) and I have to pay more for it! waiting list up NHS, Police numbers down (crime up if you read the papers yesterday that say many crimes not listed) National debt still increasing every year (was going to be sorted) record immigration (was going to be reduced) less housing starts (where will my children live) few 'proper' apprenticeships (that some of us remember)

I do have a job (but effectively paid less) no holiday this year (for the first time ever) now looking forward to retiring at 67! and feel worse off and not looking forward to the future! (financially)

UkIP are dangerous, LD have had it.

How will I vote - I don't trust any of them - but eventually I will vote but no idea yet,

Andrew Neather lifted the lid on the traitorous leftie scum, under another liebour shambles this country will be finished

statistically of all people allowed into UK who then become eligible to vote 68%, thats 2 out of every 3 will vote Labour.

that's the plain simple and entirely cynical reason Labour opened the doors wide open, ignoring any social cohesion or huge drain on schools, hospitals, housing or benefits system.

add that to the boundary rules that mean labour have a 16 seat head start before a vote is cast, and its easier to see how an unelectable freak from the party that bankrupted the nation has a chance of entering number 10.

The vote rigging may not be as blatant as in Zimbabwe but labours shameless immigration policy in government was still vote rigging

Please vote UKIP too, that will help Miliband no end as well

Those of you that want the Union bossed Labour party back in have very short memories I fear...open door immigration policiy...borrow spend...some of you have said no holiday this year...life must be hard,I have not had a holiday since 2004 but I'm more concerned that we keep the left wing out of parliament...my country is more important than what I can get out of it...those who'd rather be under left wing...try some of the left wing countries. Socialism does not work...just look across the Channel.

And everything is better now after all the changes and cuts .......oh no it isn't!

Despite claiming that you're not endorsing the Tories, you're repeating one of their mantras -- or, more accurately, lies -- that Labour bankrupts the country. The debt to GDP ratio of late has been much lower than the historical long-run. Here's a chart for the 20th century:

Interesting, correct me if I am wrong, I believe the debt is higher now because the banks had to be bailed out?

What planet are you on? According to the BCC the UK economy is expected to grow by 3.2% this year, the CBI reports retailers are at their most optimistic since Aug 2002.

The planet 'Great Britain' in 2014 unfortunately.

I dont know what the BCC is and I dont know what the UK economy 'expecting' to grow by 3.2% this year or 47.9% has got to do with your assertion that the economy is already better?!

The CBI may report that retailers are at their most optimistic since 2002, but that would surely indicate that things arent better, but instead indicate that they are hoping for things to get better?!

Even so please see my previous points regarding no reduction in deficit; loss of credit rating; consumer spending being built on low interest rates and throw in; wages not keeping up with inflation for the vast majority and the very thing that knackered the financial system of the western world; an over inflated mortgage/property/housing bubble.
