i agree, very weird that. youll see at least 50 cyclist jump a light before you see a car or van doing the same,

Yesterday I saw two cars jump lights, on the same day I saw no cyclist jump lights. This makes you factually wrong.

have you ever broken a speed limit?

Yes, but I don't regularly and intentionally make a habit of it, and normally try (and manage) to stick to them.

Driving on pavements: it's a national; epidemic. Every day, I see thirty examples of it. Cyclists and pedestrians have to use the road. Should pedestrians wear crash helmets, have number plates and lights at night? As they are more likely to hit their bonce and die, should helmets be made compulsory?

PS. What about the mobility scooter terrorists?

When you have the momentum going on a bike you are more likely to try and keep that momentum going than you would in a car because it takes a lot longer to get back to that speed on a bike , roundabouts are a good example form my experience .

Roundabouts do not have any momentum at all. It is well known that lamp-posts jump out in front of cyclists after closing time :drink: though. :jester:

ta for the honesty
i only jump lights when its safe to do so, thats ok isnt?

Personally, I wouldn't. But when doi you judge it's safe. if you were wrong, you wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Car drivers taking themselves far far too seriously is the real issue at all of this IMO (and all issues with regards to driving) and they don't even realise it!

In a nutshell we have a person perched on a saddle and two wheels with zero protection on a road with Trucks, vans, motorbikes, cars, emergency vehicles. There are gong to be problems.

I should get out there and build us some fit for purpose cycle tracks then, nibble old chum.
