Which Podcasts do you guys listen to? My current fave is Around the NFL, but I’ve also started listening to GMFB with Kay Adams  , Osi and J-Bell are very amusing too.

Texans get their 5th straight win, beating the Dolphins 42-23, pretty impressive after a 0-3 start. Hard to believe they lost at home to the Giants.

NFL have fired official Hugo Cruz who failed to call a false start in the Chargers / Browns game. This is the first time in the SB era that the NFL has fired an official in mid season.

The less said about Miami's DEF, the better.

They probably made us look even better than we were, despite some standout performances from Hopkins, Fuller and Miller.

But yes, the Texans are on a roll now after an abject start. And there's a bit of daylight in the AFC South for now at least.

Eagles Jags is going to be horrific. Our CB’s consist of Jalen Ramsey and 3 UDFA rookies. We can’t get any pressure on the QB, we can’t stop the run. We’ve got to rely on Bortles outgunning Wentz. Lol.

I did like the way Yahoo Sports covered the story. At the bottom of the article was this:

Note: A previous version of this article referred to the Chargers as being from San Diego. We regret the error, but not that much, because you’ve made the same error yourself, and the Chargers really ought to be in San Diego anyway.

Superb. Will forever be the San Diego Chargers to me. Gutted when they moved.

Rumours that the Giants are looking to get quarterback Derek Carr from the Oakland Raiders. They’ve already offloaded Eli Apple to the Saints and Damon Harrison to the Lions before the NFL trade deadline of October 30. Surprised that they let Harrison go as he’s probably the team’s most valuable defensive linesman. It’s become clear that Manning can no longer competently lead the Giant’s offense, but Shurmur says it’s unlikely at the moment that the Giants would consider trading Manning.

Absolutely chuffed the Lions got Harrison in. Starting to get a little bit excited about what Patricia is pulling together up in Motor City - certainly wasn't saying that after Game 1!

Unearthed a running game with Kerryon Johnson, overshadowed by Barkley in the rookie run game stats, but he has been a revelation. With Blount in as well Stafford can finally give that arm a rest every so often.

With decent pass coverage, if we can finally stop the run we might be able to start winning games without needing to score 25 points every week.

Seahawks, Vikings, Bears, Panthers, Bears, Rams next up should bring me back down to earth nicely.

Struggling to see where they could possibly trade him to other than perhaps the Jags, as they are once again falling out of love with Bortles, and it would re-unite Eli Manning with Tom Coughlin. Can't see there being a market for Eli beyond that.

Unless the Broncos get desperate for a decent alternative to Keenum and get big bro to put in a good word. See one suggestion is that the Jags could go for Teddy Bridgewater who should be an upgrade on Bortles.

I wouldn't rule out the Raiders trading Carr away, and that may be a fit for the Jags over Bortles. Chucky wants a clean start, and a load of picks to do it, I wouldn't bet on him fancying Carr for the job, when he's looking at enough 1st Round picks that he can move around wherever he wants and get teh franchise QB if he thinks they are about to come up in the next draft.

Whilst Bortles had an ok game yesterday, too many of his passes are just a little wayward. The dropped TD pass by Chark was behind him, too many screens to Yeldon were too low, great guy, just not a natural passer. Alex Smith would have been a great pick up. Considering EVERYONE knows Blake’s shortcomings the Jags last 31 plays on offence have been passes.

When Seattle are 4th and 8 on their own 3, and the kicker runs it out of the endzone for a 1st down, you knew it wasn't going to be the Lions day. Alright, the game was gone by then anyway, but still.

At 1-7 Giants now tied for second worst record in the league. Pretty dreadful offensive performance, Manning did get a touchdown pass to Engram 15 seconds before the end – but a case of too little too late. Manning has a no-trade clause in his contract but you get the feeling that pretty much the rest of the team is up for sale before tomorrow’s 4pm deadline.

Brutal. So much hype before this weekend too. Need to string a few wins together over the next month, the division is so tight.
