Don't think this has been posted. In the sun, obviously could be balls
Brighton offered £3m for Beram Kayal by same Chinese Super League club who wanted Costa

Think we can safely regard this one as made up tosh. There's a limit on the amount of foreign players each club can field and with the money floating around the clubs are only interested in signing high profile players and as much as we (rightly) cherish Kayal he just doesn't fit the blue print of the type of player that they would pursue.

I heard Palace actually tried to buy a defender called 'Y Me' from the Chinese Super League.

One of their 20-30 bids for a player in the transfer window.

If we don't go up this season, all bets are off.

Kayal to China, Stockdale, Knockaert, Stephens & Dunk to second tier Premier League clubs etc etc. Club playing assets will be stripped bigtime.

No pressure then.

Not sure about that with Tony at the Helm.

Not sure about your analysis. Many of these players individually are Premier League Ready and at some time soon the Albion's strict wage structure just won't hack it for them anymore, even if they'll all look back to a man and reminisce about how they never played in a more supportive club environment with a better team spirit. In the end, providing future financial security for their family will have to override all the good things they got going at the Albion. Same sole reason for any current British-based player going to China.

We'd then have some cash to spend. Pressure is given anytime you're at the top irrelevant of what is spent. We just don't have the bottle to deal with it.

Reckon we do. It's just that we always come back ring-rusty from any kind of mid-season break like an international break or a cup round where we play the reserves. That's my one and only criticism of the current managerial regime. They seem incapable of keeping the first team up to their natural playing levels, given a week off. No matter what junior minister of information chaileyjem would have you believe. It's clear that this set of players relish games coming thick and fast and only go off the boil anytime they get a chance to put their feet up.

As they should be. If we don't go up this season from here all these players need to be shipped out, that would be a pathetic collapse of epic proportions

Chinese club bid for Kayal?

No idea if there's any truth in this, but according to http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/chinese-super-league-club-launch-3m-bid-for-brighton-star/ there's a story in the Sun today that Chinese Super League outfit Tianjin Quanjian have made a bid of £3m for Beram Kayal. Tianjin Quanjian are the same club that tried to sign Chelsea star Diego Costa in January. Chinese clubs have until the end of February to recruit players and Tianjin Quanjian are looking to test Brighton’s resolve with this bid for Kayal.

Didn't spot this elsewhere and presume it is guff (and that CH will tell them where to go) but surprised at the Chinese interest in one of our players...

Its not clear. What players, what performances and what matches are you talking about ?
Not much putting their feet up between Thursday and Sunday for example yet most of em still seemed in a right state; how come ?
