Find the Bevy pub and there are little arrows guiding you up the hill. It's to the right of the pub and up the hill - the general aim is a little twitten which is off the road to the right of the pub. I have one of the worst senses of direction of all time, and I managed to find it without getting lost so I have faith in anyone to find it.

Got a few things to do tomorrow so will head to Hove Park and congratulate ben Elton's Brother on hitting 300 - tremendous achievement - equivalent to running to the other side of Rome!

I know it's frowned upon on the running thread but as a geographical pedant I would like to dispute he would reach Rome, by at least a few hundred miles, let alone get beyond.

Sorry my wife had had enough of me annoying her. A 5 day taper, booze taper and adrenaline is making me hyper. Luckily for her and NSC I'll be camping alone with my roller tonight at picturesque Bewl Water. Fired up already for tomorrow's Sprint Tri just hope the calf behaves.

QED! Unless he runs on an Easyjet flight.......

Great 300 milestone tomorrow despite my twittering.

Glad it’s EasyJet and not Ryan Air, as he’d be 50 miles or so short of Rome in a small provincial airport.

Back to my Park Run roots today. Hove Park for the first time since May 2016 on my five year Park Run anniversary.

Really pleased with 18:51 and somewhat surprised I ran it quicker than any other Preston Park effort. I'm now not convinced if Hove Park is any slower than PP.

Good luck tomorrow. Looking forward to hearing how you get on.

Worthing 21:56 for me (AG 75.08%) - about right. Beat Nicky Yeates on the line - VW60-64 AG 88%!! Respect.

Couple of hours on the Downs this morning with a lot of hillage. Not as hot as I was expecting - quite a breeze from the NE so it was tolerable

So. Rested up my injured groin/hip/pelvis/whatever for a week. Did plenty of gentle warming up and walking this morning and then attempted a easy and gentle short run. The pain came back immediately and I was hobbling and hoping after about 30 seconds. The pain now feels more “tender” and more “in the joint/bones” than it did. It’s a trip to the doctor next.

Sorry to hear....definitely get it looked at.....doc will probably refer you (if he/she is any good - if not, they’ll say something like ‘ah yes, running is bad for you, don’t do it’). Could be any number of things....I had a similar-sounding pain a few years ago, turned out to be osteitis pubis and a stress fracture of the pelvis......

Thanks. The good news is the local GP is also a sports injury specialist so he won’t tell me to stop, hopefully.

Cheers. Be happy if I get anywhere near that 5K time. Uncharted waters with 6 weeks of high intensity training since Leeds Castle's knackered 25:30 5K. Will I find the endurance that I haven't worked on or will I blow up in the heat?

Good luck tomorrow matey.

I’ve been at Center Parcs for the last week. There is a hilly 3.7 mile loop round the park that I’ve done three times along with cycling to the shops for my goodies, taking the kids to the rapids and adventure pool and one truly terrifying morning where I decided to try a “proper” bike ride :lolol:

It’s confirmed my suspicion that I won’t be doing a triathlon in this life.

Good luck tomorrow. Reasonable 22:30 at HP for me in the heat. Good to see ben Elton’s brother finish his 300th complete was some fresh Roman pizza.

Good luck for Bewl, knocky1 - or, by the time you see this, well done!

My weekend: 2.4-mile swim; 85-mile bike ride; 10-min transition run; 15.5-mile run. The first BIG weekend of four before the big day in Tenby.

I'm knackered [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

We did less than 20% of that but at around 95% full out effort. Excellent fun. Well done on keeping at it. Ridiculous amount of mileage.
Bewl was great fun. Organisation a bit slap dash but they got over it with good humour. Very competitive young field. Can't analyse as I have put Strava into a spin trying to change the event from a run and the official results aren't available yet.
Best news is penny's harmonica is up for the Windsor Olympic Distance next year along with myself, Baz, maybe his son and any of you lot. See you there.

Will update when the 5k times become available.

14 hot sweaty miles from Rottingdean for me this morning - including Baze Hill Road and Bear Road. Confirmed my view after last Sunday that I am not really a hot weather runner.
