when I used to go to Bognor with Eastbourne Borough the thing that always stood out was their superb playing surface.must have had a super groundsman. Don't know if it is still the same.

Eddie broadbent was the groundsman until a few years ago. New groundsmen carried on with the good work and the pitch must be in the top 5 in all non league football

In the top five in ALL non league football? That really is a bold statement. You must have visited an awful lot of grounds!

A nice bit of South London
As both a Bognor and an Albion fan please have some sympathy for me.
Last season both my sides missed out on automatic promotion on goals scored and both fell at the first play-off hurdle to the side finishing four places below them.
If Bognor are able to win at Havant both my sides could be promoted on the same day.
It was bad enough to suffer one lot of anguish last season, but it was far too cruel to make anyone suffer twice.
Tomorrow I've chosen to watch Bognor, but I'll be at Norwich and then the Amex for the Bristol City game.

Love that. And you.

The Rocks lost to Dulwich in the play-offs last season.
They now meet them again on Monday at Nyewood Lane in the one-leg final.
Bognor seem to be running out of steam and Dulwich appear in the ascendancy. I would estimate there will be a crowd of near to 2000.

After last years heartache with both the Albion and Bognor I feel I deserve to see The Rocks also promoted.

I watched Dulwich last night (I live in South London). They were brilliant (the goals are on their twitter feed https://twitter.com/DulwichHamletFC and the third and fourth are special). Given Bognor's league superiority, it's too close to call.

Have you seen the pitch or played on it?
Remember tommy elphick and adam el abd saying that the pitch was one of the best they had ever played on when they were on loan to bognor
Both portsmouth and brighton in recent years have requested to use it for fa youth cup matches and league matches. Its got one of the best drainage systems and from my memory has probably had less than 5 games called off in the last 10 to 15 years. Couple of those were when the pitch was frozen

I've played on it a few times (for Worthing no less), I'd say Bognor and Met Police have the best pitches in the Ryman League by quite a stretch and they wouldn't look out of place in the Football League (League 1 & 2). Had the privilege of playing at The Amex in the SSC Final too, and although The Amex surface was better... it wasn't light years better. That's no dig at our own hallowed turf, it's praise for Bognor and the groundstaff at Nyewood Lane.

Just seen on Twitter that the match kick off was delayed until 3-15, big number of Dulwich fans in the ground.
