This time in the last World Cup we'd already had eleven goals after the first three matches (15 after the first four).
It's hard to see the quality and star new names popping up. The players are shattered. It could be the worst World Cup of all time. South Africa was bad but so far, this has simply been dreadful and a waste of time.
Come on Spain and Portugal. Prove me wrong tonight.

I wouldn't want 26 of the 32 teams to be European. Hardly represents a global game.
That said, I cringed watching Saudi Arabia yesterday.
Maybe a better solution would be to reduce the number of teams involved to the real cream of the crop? The same solution to the Champions League would improve that competition too.
