Caused entirely by Ryanair. An old lady with disabilities like hers should have been seated with the stewards,as her lack of movement is a hazard to all the other passengers.Doesn't excuse the man's disgusting behaviour though.

Not not 'caused entirely by Ryanair', then? ???

I genuinely believe that I would have insisted in getting off the plane when it became clear that they weren’t going to remove that racist pig. I really like to think so anyway.

No you wouldn’t. And you’d be your own victim of faux outrage if you did, just what would it have achieved apart from delaying all the other passengers? Extreme reactions are a growing part of the problem. Keep calm and carry on. Don’t give into mob justice.

But you’ve not heard why he’s angry though, so don’t rush to judge. It looks as if it’s a branch of Boots, so he may have gone into the shop to buy a pack of extra small condoms but has found out they don’t stock them anymore, and is therefore irate.

No faux outrage, I’d have been genuinely outraged. You make a good point re the delay though. I am gobsmacked that he was allowed to get away with that. I think, “either he gets off or I do” MAY have made them deal with him in the way he should have been dealt with in the first place. To me that behaviour is far worse than an obnoxious drunk on a flight and they’d have hauled one of those off for certain and delayed the plane?

I reckon most people on the flight have settled for a delay happily if it meant him being taken off the plane. Would you?

His version of events is slightly different to that .... he was fuming that Boots had sold out of the extra large Conquistador range.

While I don't want this thread descending into yet another Brexit Binfest, I have to admit that if I had voted Leave - and there WERE some logical angles to a Leave vote, even if IMO massively outweighed by the benefits of staying - it would really, really depress me knowing I was "in league" with racist scumbags like this.

Irrelevant.

There will be scumbags and criminals within the Remain voters.

Absolutely. Myself included in fact I booked a Ryanair flight this morning (£31 return to Cologne).

My grandad flew there for free , mind you it was 1943 and he flew back without landing :lolol:

This incident is possibly symptomatic of the resentment building amongst white minorities who have seen their communities change to such a degree in such a relatively short period of time as to feel socially and perhaps economically inferior within their lifetimes. Add a political dimension such as ignoring their concerns and people start to feel threatened and get angry; hate and suffering then follow as Yoda wisely put it. Remember, many people are sick and tired of liberal fanatics telling them to welcome and integrate with millions of people whose heritage they don’t share, many of whom hardly reciprocate. As Brexit has shown us. That or he might just be an outright racist/xenophobic but I’m trying to look beyond the predictable social media outrage here.

True, I didn't hear why he's angry but I do know it was at Sainsbury's.

I bet the old git was a racist in 1975, 1985, etc.

Though I agree about the changed mood of half the country. The open doors policy since 1997, which the nation never had a say on, eventually led to a lot of anger and resentment in towns and shires up and down the country.

Personally I welcomed the new immigrants who came here to work, but I wasn't adversely affected. For many millions, there aren't enough school places, homes, doctors places, etc. Absolutely zero strategic planning went into infrastrutcture for the huge and sudden population increase.

But there can no excuse for criminal, evil racism.

White minorities? Where?

So you are saying that we are not allowed to get annoyed or upset with what we see happening because it might be faux?

A lot of people came here to work in the 90s but quite a lot of them were European white. The biggest influx of Commonwealth immigrants was in the 50s, and at the time, most of them were British citizens.

I'm not sure this demonstrates Ryanair is racist. The crew handled this appallingly, the guy clearly should've been offloaded and charged with a racially aggravated offence. A bad decision was made by the crew locally, probably under pressure to maintain schedules. However, that doesn't make Ryanair racist. A feature of modern society seems to be to hold an organisation responsible for everything that occurs on their premises which is ridiculous.

You and I are singing from the same hymn sheet about this allegedly racist man and Ryanair. Both disgusting IMO.

I was simply replying to portlock seagull, who'd broadened the discussion.

Only an idiot would say Ryanair are racist.

But they should've got the Spanish police onboard, to kick off the racist. With a further Ryanair priority being the welfare of the victim. They failed miserably.

But I bet he had to ditch some ballast there in order to lose enough weight to make it back? Not much in the way of heating either? Low budget flying was a different experience in those days...
