After last weeks game I thought you were all mad to call for Balogun to replace Duffy as you had never seen him play. It seem's that I was wrong. Respect.

It is now obvious why we took a fee for Goldson and then signed Balogun for free.

Why are people surprised by Balogun? ? ? At the World Cup he did a pretty good job against Messi and Higuain! And he comes from the Bundesliga, not some noddy amateur league.

Given how dire United's centre backs were, bullied by Glenn all match, and the total failure to sign a decent one all summer, Balogun's display must have particularly galling for The Grumpy One. Especially when he's third choice when all fit. Hope Dunk's not too bad, wonder what Goldson is thinking.

Surprised by the fella nobody had heard about 2 months ago.
Who had a decent game against the piss poor Argies.
The guy who arrived on a free transfer, seemingly keen to come to 'lil old Brighton'.
The third choice centre back, who happened to be thrown into his Premier League debut v Utd.
Other than that no I can't think why anybody would be surprised that he owned Lukaku/Fellani/Rashford et al.

Damn straight.
He knows, as a centre back playing for Brighton, he could get dropped for a blue and white striped sofa who'll still go on to be a full international.

I watched it on TV yesterday and it really wasn't apparent how well he did - perhaps that he didn't stand out (on TV, anyway) emphasises how unified this unit of a team is?
Exciting to read the comments about him here though.
