Loving that first red arrows photo, amazing stuff! Second one is very nice too for the composition.
Jack - the spider one is superb!
Seeing the cuckoo spit on that yellow rattle - ever thought of exposing the little green bug inside and getting a close up?, as they're very odd looking little things. You'd do it no harm as it would just cover itself back up again once you're gone.

Gorgeous colours in that wisteria.
The flowers here caused me to dig back into some of my flower close ups.
Again just standard macro setting on my Nokia N8.

Sorry to be a bit indulgent but I'm blown away by creation in action. Oriental poppy emergence is an amazing sight to behold.

Thanks Uncle. Yep, mine too I think, although it could be insects and other animals too if I could get decent shots of them. I have some shots of baby grass snakes on our compost heaps but they're pretty woeful, the shots that is, not the snakes
I'd love to get a shot like Jacks spider one one of these days.

I also tried to quote FM's kind words but computer says "No". The spider was reversing back in to his hole at great speed, and just managed to catch him/her.
Good idea about the Frog Hopper in the Cuckoo Spit. I did think about getting one out, but didn't fancy the mess on my fingers with my camera but I will next time. That phone of yours is one heck of a camera. I still think it beats my proper camera for sharpness, detail and colour, in fact, I might sell my camera and get a Nokia phone!!

Looks like you got a result with the spider backing away as it meant capturing the tunnel effect of his/her web a treat. I think that photo's superb!
As good as mobile phone cameras get, I doubt they'll ever be a true match for a 'proper' camera. I'm made up with some of the shots I get on my N8, macro especially, but it's really just a handy thing to have in my pocket. When it comes to anything a little way off, the zoom is pretty rubbish, as you can imagine. The new Nokias however have got even better it seems and with the 41mp 808 pureview and the Lumia 1020 I think you can get some really good snaps, even from a distance. Certainly worth considering perhaps if you're into smart phones and ever due an upgrade. Again, never going to beat a proper camera though I expect.

This is from the pond we built at our work.
And lastly...One year we found a clutch of grass snake eggs when turning the work compost heaps, so we incubated them in a big tub of compost and put it in one of our polytunnels, and virtually every single one hatched! We then set them all free back into the compost heaps.

As previously mentioned use Flickr. 1tb of storage space, you can add your photos to groups and see what people are posting to groups that interest you. Some great discussion and feedback on your photos can be had too.
