Paul Barber does have a way (sometimes) of writing a letter. No need to be so rude in the first paragraph and completely misrepresents the "elitist" argument. Again the letter of a headmaster and not a CEO.

So can i still turn up to the turnstiles with my thermo nuclear device contained in my thermos or has my deadly evil plan been thwarted because i cant take it inside up to WSU?
Asking for a friend who is thinking the world has gone mad
You have been thwarted! Unless of course you find somewhere discreet to hide it. If it is nuclear then this place is not recommended.

Arsenal ban flasks and Watford while not banning them discourage their use.

Man City don't allow any food in all.

Palace are actively encouraging flask use as if someone blows up Selhurst, Parish will be able to claim on the insurance to pay for half a new stand and the wage bill shortfall.

Problem is that there could be absolutely ANYTHING inside the container

The ban cannot be based on luzzing material - it would be cheaper to queue up in the ground and buy a tin of Coke / Pepsi / Lilt - if that were luzzed and were to hit someone on the head that would be quite a nasty blow, likely the equivalent of a flask.

No, it must be based on the uncertainty of content - well the easy way round that is to enforce the owner to take a swig - if it's petrol / novochock / etc then let 'em swig that.

Leaves all the innocent soup / tea / coffee supporters to continue unhindered.

No, earlier in the thread someone (I am sorry that I can't recall the poster) had a reply from Mr Barber saying that if they turned up with something in a plastic flask, it would most likely be confiscated.
