I'll save you the trouble.
The protagonist will mercilessly double down on his hole digging.
Everyone will eventually think 'why the flip am I bothering'.
The protagonist will assume that means he was right all along, then trundle off to do the same on another thread.

This. As usual.

Sorry I misunderstood the implication of 4CBs and disregarded the fact that we have 2 CBs so he was meaning cover for each and every position ie expecting both, CB or Full Backs or wingers to be out at the same time so both needed covering. I was taking into account the chance of that happening is virtually nil so we needed 3 CB plus a 4th as an emergency rather than 4 equally proficient CB. and the same with wingers

If it is their opinion then it is correct in their eyes.

You are derailing this thread by being a twerp. Why don't you button it for a few hours? Interesting times afoot...

Or does he?

Dear BG,

We will NOT sign a 4th-choice CB, we will sign a CB WHO IS GENUINE COMPETITION FOR DUNK, DUFFY & BALOGUN, or at least make a very good attempt to do so.

Ditto with winger signing.

Yep. Of course. CH makes this absolutely clear with his squads:

Re: winger. Probably tomorrow and €25m
Re: CB - likely Moore (still interested) or O Connell (interested) - could be £7m+ or er Moore.
So yep B.G - no journeymen or out of contract players or freebies . Agreed ?

Thank you CJ... I must admit BG's suggestions for CB acquisitions, plus getting by with Jiri, were somewhat irksome to me, when our beloved club have clearly made significant investments in our squad, and have also made significant bids on players in the very positions where BG is suggesting we will / should go 'bargain bucket'...

BG does have a bit of a point in a way.

Jow much is left in the warchest after £60 million transfer fees, big sign on fees for especially Balogun and Andone, a new contract for Groß, no doubt another one for Dunk soon, and squad pay rises and wages ?

We need to maximise our incoming fees for sure.

And paying a big fee for a central defender as well looks tricky.

Just name one transfer that the Bloom era Albion have made that looks even remotely like the club was following a palace model?

It's not about following the palace model. It's just that sometimes the budget is spent and further big fees ( £15 million for Moore etc. ) are not possible.

We may need to set aside budget for a new contract for Dunk when Leicester want to spend the Maguire money as well.

Why especially Andone ? He wasn’t free
