If you were going to bring someone in for 93 days only, I'm sure you'd wait until the very end of the window, February 1st.

Because of the Hull league game on Jan 30th being postponed, we only have 3 more games before February 5th, with one of those being in only two days time.

April, on the other hand, currently has 7 fixtures.

So, a 93 day loan at the end of the window would cover every game other than the very last at Middlesbrough (and any play-offs, of course).

Good job they didn't fail FFP last year otherwise spending £10m would seem to be taking the piss...Oh hang on......

If we are looking for on oldish Centre Forward to add to the squad for this season Kermogant could also be a useful short term option.

Edit - not sure this is what we need though.

Bournemouth's club-record signing Benik Afobe started for the Cherries following the striker's £9m move from Championship side Wolves.

But the former Arsenal striker should have done better with the chances created for him in the first half. With the hosts in command, the 22-year-old - who scored 23 goals in 48 games for Wolves - failed to hit the target with a header from six yards out and then messed up another scoring opportunity, hesitating to allow Adrian to gather on the floor after being put through by a wonderful Junior Stanislas pass.
