People need to factor in the striker we will sign in January if we're in with a shout of survival.

I think the big question is will we score more goals than we get points? I doubt it.

Less than half the people posting so far have included Izzy Brown with even a single goal... I'll go for:

Brown 9
Murray 6
Izquierdo 6
Knockaert 6
Propper 5
Hemed 4
Gross 3
March 3
Stephens 1
Duffy 1
Dunk 1

Total 45. Optimistic? Yeah, maybe a bit...

What makes you think we will be able to attract any sort of goalscorer in January ? If we're not attractive now, we will be even less so when we are adrift at the bottom.

With most January transfers happening at the end of the window, despite best efforts, leaving 3 and bit months to start winning. Our fixtures from March to May 2018 look 'challenging' to say the least.

IF we're adrift at the bottom. It's not a given. We have some very good players, capable of keeping us in contention for that long. Let's see how we do once the new signings have bedded in and we face more teams that aren't top 8 contenders. Being unattractive obviously wasn't the only problem as the Andone deal reportedly was all set to go but scuppered by Depor not getting in a player they wanted. So he's one option we can go back in for.

Given we didn't sign one in four months when arguably we were seen as a reasonable team I really don't think you can assume we will sign one in one month when we are looking like relegation certainties.

3 teams have stayed up scoring less than 30 goals, so no need to panic.

We also only need a further 11 points to beat Derby's record low for the season.

35

Hemed 10
Murray 6
Knockaert 5
Izquidaro 5
March 2
Dunk 2
Duffy 1
Stephens 1
Sidwell 1
Suttner 1
Gross 1

3 teams out of the 25 year history of the premier league? So 3 out of 75 teams? Yep no need to panic then!

I thought this thread was worth a bounce. How are we doing against your prediction:

Here was my prediction v in brackets how may they have scored so far:

Total 32 (17).
Murray 6 (6)
Izquierdo 5 (2)
Knockaert 5 (2)
March 4 (1)
Baldock 3 (0)
Hemed 3 (2)
Dunk 3 (0)
Propper 1 (0)
Stephens 1 (0)
Duffy 1 (0)
Gross 0 (4)

So far Gross is the only player to massively over achieve my total. Everyone else is below. Murray has reached my prediction for him already but will he score again this season?

What is really very telling is we have only had 6 goalscorers this season. Woeful.

Only four goalscorers whose goals have helped us to win games. March goal was the opener in 2-1 defeat to B'muff, Knockaert has scored once each in two home draws
