Off again. Need to finish over 5 and the cutoff point is 9:45 before the game finishes a tie. Been like this all day with the rain. Just bad enough to go off, and just light enough to get back on.

Surely Glamorgan can play in the rain ? They are Welsh after all.

Five balls away from a win. Shame! Though tonight was frustrating, it was of course the poor temperament verses Kent and Hampshire where Sussex chucked away games they had full control over. Really should be sitting on at least 15 points right now. At least we've got the 4 day thrashings to look forward to...

Strangely we don't get thrashed in the 4 dayers, we can't win but we do seem to have a degree of stickability...I think we will be promoted back to div 1... if there is some kind of nuclear war or tectonic plate shift that wipes out a few rivals.

What a crappy, crappy cricket season we've had. Down a div, and underperformed. To add to that with the players available we should have done much, much better in the limited over game. Davis makes Robinson look good

Davis is proving that he can't manage his way out of a wet, already tearing paper bag.

Shambles in all forms.

This as well. Normally when a team is relegated you don't appoint from within.

The whole club needs shaking up.

Sussex seconds just beat Glamorgan by an innings. Stu Whittingham looked sharp.

I'm not convinced that Davis is to blame: he might be, but he hasn't been dealt a good hand.

In just over a year, we've lost Yardy, Prior and RHB - three pretty decent batters to replace (and we've not tried to replace them). We signed an overseas batsman who hasn't really come off and lost our captain to injury. We have Brown batting a place too high as we're so short of batting talent. Not sure if all (or any ) of that can be blamed on Davis - does he have final say on recruitment?

I've mentioned before that we're too small a county to have one-day specialists - I can't see any justification for having the likes of Salt, Cachopa, Mills, Beer and Briggs playing one-day cricket (nearly) exclusively. I can understand a young player like Salt but the rest seems like luxury to me.

Don't think the future looks too bad: Salt, Garton, Whittingham all look promising. Nash and Wells seem to have their mojo back - and should be around for a few years yet - and Finch looks like he could come good.

Davis may be hopeless but I think the jury has to be out at the moment, he deserves more of a chance

Davis knew what was happening at the club , should not of taken the job , it's too big for him , all counties have one day specialist , most being overseas players , apart from us who got Ross Taylor who looked liked he was playing county championship not T20 cricket every time I saw him play .Team , management , people in charge all not good enough

I disagree - Davis was the cheap option for a reason. He's just too quiet a guy - this team needs someone to put a rocket up their collective backsides and Davis is not the person to do that. He's a backroom figure and should have stayed in the background. I can accept that, being in a period of transition, we're not going to win every game, but the side are just so lack-lustre, devoid of competitiveness and clearly lacking in leadership. That's the coaches job along with the captain and it isn't working.

We got one as well - Rahman - who's played one game. I don't mind one or two one-day specialists but for a squad as small as ours, nearly half the side is a bit of a luxury.

Like I said, he could be hopeless but I think any coach would struggle with a team that's permanently a batsman short; where the captain has missed half the season, the overseas players haven't delivered or have been injured, there's no championship class spinner and the best pace bowler has played just one game. That's some hand that he's been dealt

Could he have known what was happening? He couldn't have predicted Hobden dying, Wright's injury or Taylor's struggles. And we don't know what he was promised by the committee: they may have said we'll get a batter and a proper spinner - we don't know
