I saw the tweet, but I've not dared look at the responses.

Knowing the trolls ultimately have little affect, except perhaps a psychological one, I find it easier to view them with compassion. It takes the sting out and you realise that they are the ones who are really suffering. After all, no person of sound mind and soul would engage in that way. Tis nothing more than an existence for them.

Very true. I did start by stupidly replying to them with calm measured responses. It’s just started to make local news now after going global first haha. Time to get the tin helmet out again!

I've just read the whole of that thread in case I was being unfair.

Firstly congratulations for reaching out to Durlston with a humane post. However, what I find really interesting is that, at no point in that do you mention epilepsy being retriggered by a relationship breakdown. It's a very personal post, covering your medical history and Durlston repeatedly mentions his girlfriend, yet you chose not to mention this massive event in your own medical history even once. Odd.

So here's why. No, it's not trolling. On that thread you are offering unqualified medical advice to someone who is extremely vulnerable. On balance the compassion you've shown Durlston and any placebo effect or otherwise from the Holland and Barrett stuff probably did him a lot more good than harm but I couldn't adequately say because I'm not medically qualified. However, if someone is just chancing on that information and doesn't realise that you have a history of slightly less than honest posts you could do real damage. That's why I respond. It's why I respond on the CT stuff. Because, generally you are urging someone to do something outside of the mainstream based on what seems to be a fairly light grasp on reality.

No doubt you'll respond. I won't again, we've derailed this thread long enough. But you need to understand it's not personal. Your heart is in the right place, it's just your brain that isn't.

Alright, that's the final straw.

I've openly admitted to currently suffering from a brain disease plus brain damage from a brain tumour removal and yet you've made the above comment belittling my brain.. I know you socialise with Mods outside of NSC, but I'm going to take action now. You literally don't know when you're crossing the line. All I want is to move on and is all try to get on. You clearly have a different agenda.

Why should anyone move on? My missus remembers EVERYTHING I've ever done. EVERYTHING. Shit that I can't remember gets replayed in glorious technicolor whenever we disagree about any subject more substantive than who's turn it is to feed the cat.

Why on earth should i or anyone else be prepared to overlook allegations of mass murder by the US government, the obfuscation of Muslim terrorism by misallocation of crimes against humanity to Jews rather than Al Quaeda, the nasty, vitriolic shit that "some" posters on here have posted down the years...up to and including Holocaust denial IN PUBLIC...ON A FOOTBALL FORUM FFS.
