Can't see a thread on this.

Come on Preston.

Predict 2-0 with Beckford scoring both

Obika starts. Money on both to score in normal time. Preston should shade it.

I have said it on many threads but been told he is past it. The man is a goal scorer irrespective of division he knows where the goal is.

His stats don't back that up, goal scorer at League 1 level but has never got double figures in a season in The Championship. Had a decent spell on loan at Huddersfield and got 8 in 21 games but next best return is 9 in 39 games for Leicester. don't think he's as good as you claim he is and doesn't have form that suggests he's a player to get you to the top 6 or better.

His career total is 285 games 154 goals at all levels which is better than a goal every other game. Now a free agent and is a much better investment than Best, Vokes or Obika. According to WA on the radio we went after him a couple of years ago but he wanted £40k a week. Wouldnt command much now probably £8 -£10k max.

Since leaving Everton, he has scored 24 goals in 112 Championship appearances.

Is that the same Vokes who still probably has another ten years of playing and developing and who, alongside teammate Danny Ings, scored for fun in this division a few seasons ago?

Where did you get those stats from? His stats are 317 league games 127 goals, no where near what you suggest it is. His overall record is 371 games 153 goals. Average of a goal every 2.4 games. He's got a good scoring record in the fa cup and league cup but most of those will be against lower league sides. As Barrel of Fun points out his record since leaving Everton is pretty shoddy at Championship level. A goal every 4 or 5 games. No thanks.

If you are discounting substitute appearances, then you need to subtract goals scored in those appearances.

He has played in 367 matches and scored 154.
