Another Judge was actually jailed for perverting the course of justice in relation to that trial after lying to the police and providing a false witness statement. Constance Briscoe was a barrister and part time Judge and a friend of Vicky Pryce. She foolishly decided to get involved in Pryce's marital dispute on behalf of Pryce and together they tried to set up Chris Huhne.

It's extraordinary that she was prepared to risk her job, her freedom and reputation for something she wasn't even personally involved in after all she had achieved in her career. I believe she was Britain's first female black judge and she certainly didn't have a priviledged background to help her achieve what she did. Her motivations for helping Pryce were based on her own feelings of bitterness at having been betrayed by her partner. She clearly had deep seated emotional issues. She was sentenced to sixteen months and served about six.
