Really? Best atmosphere this coming season is likely to be the match against Palace. As for rivalry, they are our closest rivals and yes, the Stamford Bridge game intensified the rivalry but we were still rivals before that. By the way, the match was not the late 70s, 1976 to be precise.

Out of interest, who do you consider to be our natural rivals?

Yes I know it was 1976, so shall we call it mid-seventies? Happier now?

As for natural rivals, I suppose l would have to say Portsmouth, a,lthough we bhaven't played them regularly in a league fixture for a very long time now. Pompey fans though would cite their main rivalry as being with Southampton, which leaves us out on a limb a bit. Hence how the Palarse rivally was born perhaps.

Average player, getting on a bit, Pikey, would probably be an upgrade on our 4th choice winger and maybe on 3rd (but not convinced). Would hope if we'll sign a wide player it will be someone Knocky quality so March can be a super sub and not overplayed. Murphy is fine for 4th choice.

No from me. Maybe he can **** off to some Champ relegation club with dodgy owners.

Do you even know why we are rivals with the scum up the road?

Why do you think our 'natural' rivals are Portsmouth given that they are further away than Palace and given that we have only ever played them 43 times as opposed to 96 times for Palace?

Can see Boydy joining up with his old strike partner, Steve Morison, at Millwall for next season. Will suit him geographically as his roots are Gillingham area.
