That is based on the average layman. Not a super fit athlete. When I fractured 3 metatarsals 12 years ago (and was a very fit 400m hurdler) I was back training and competing in two months, and that was without the medical team and expertise that The Albion have.

Even though both play left side CB, I am more comfortable with Dunk and BFG than with the Brentford-match pairing of Duffy and BFG. This is because Dunk has more pace to cover Uwe, whose strength lies in heading and marking.

Perhaps the heart issue was only picked up from the heart reading analysis after the Lincoln game ?

Not sure we have any evidence to blame the club for poor resource planning.

It's called clutching at straws, and needing something or someone to blame. Some cannot bare the reality that is football. When you lose, someone is to blame. Not just that we didn't play well on the day, that we have still lost less than anyone else in the division. No, the January transfer window is to blame. Calderwood leaving is to blame. The club doctor is to blame. The coach driver's gear changes are to blame.

Still in a fantastic position. The funny thing is, we're expecting the team to show a little backbone, while others seem to be losing theirs left right and centre.

To be fair though, a really bad gear change could trigger some muscle injuries.

Don't know why lot's of people on here are slating Tomori.... maybe I was watching a different game but thought he was impressive when he came on at against Newcastle. Started a bit nervy (understandably, playing in a match of that magnitude at an early age) but second half made some great challenges and looked very athletic. Personally I would like to see him start against Rotherham, he's young and now may get his chance, good luck to the lad!

Thought he did really well defensively against Newcastle. So well, in fact, that Atsu - who had been given instructions to batter him all match - was forced to switch wings late on. Ironically it was from there, the Toon left, that he set up the winner.

He's quick and comes highly regarded.
Possibly a bit of stage fright,but thought he did ok against the toon.
Will only get better with a run of games!

Obviously that decision has to be made on footballing grounds - but where exactly would that leave BFG? Feeling absolutely under-rated, unwanted, and with shattered confidence I shouldn't wonder. Not sure that would be a good thing - I don't know how long he's contracted to us, but I presume Tomori will be off at the end of the season.

Goldson was playing regularly for Shrewsbury, so would have had a medical there, and obviously had a medical before joining us. The players also wear heart monitors, so it must have been something very unusual to manifest itself to need prevantative surgery. It's not like the club hadn't bothered and Connor started getting chest pains or anything drastic like that. It's good that the club have such sophisticated equipment now, that something can be found, before a tragic incident happens.

Your criticism whilst being ignorant of the facts is just idle & unjustified pontification. You simply haven't got a clue about the club's "resource planning" but you believe they suffer from "internal complacency". Mindless.
