I have a memory of going to Vicarage Road in the 80's or 90's and a bloke (possibly a yank) playing in goal for us for the first time. He had a mullet and wore a leopard skin shirt.

Did I dream this?

Yeldell was 2005 and made 3 appearances

Only in the second half if memory serves. Started in yellow, but it clashed with the officials so was made to change at HT

From what I can remember Meola had a blinder at home against Wolves when we drew 1-1.
In those days you could buy games on video and this one also included some pre-season games one against Arsenal I think.

Meola only played twice, don’t think either were against Watford.

Jurgen Sommer perhaps although don’t remember him having a mullet

John Keeley? His Barnet was a bit suspect.

Remember an article in one of the broadsheets after Watford game in about ‘91 when they were raving about the Hornets’ keeper’s performance in a 1-1 draw. A teenage David James.
