Having beaten Tampa Bay 3-0 in game 6 I'm hoping the Capitals will take the Eastern Conference Final tomorrow night.

Looks like the Rangers will be appointing Boston University head coach David Quinn as their new coach - hope he's the right choice to turn their fortunes around

Its an amazing story.

Its not as if many of the players who went there were even missed by their clubs - with the possible exception of Fleury. Its a lesson of the NHL that any Stanley Cup side has to have an exceptional goaltender and I think he has been the difference.

As a Rangers fan I'm still blinking at what's happened to Lindberg. He was bang average in New York.

Fleury has been amazing (too short?), as have a few others, Karlsson in particular. The whole city has been smitten with their success, you cant walk around without seeing people wearing shirts and caps. Incredible success story...

Yes a goal from Ovechkin and two from Burakovsky put the Caps 3-0 up after two, a late empty netter and back to back shut outs for Holtby put the Caps through.

Next game tonight and I can't wait after the fun of the 1st. Vegas led 1-0, then Washington 2-1, Vegas 3-2, Washington 4-3 and finally Vegas 5-4 and an empty net goal to make it 6-4.

Wow - what a game. Caps beat the Knights 3-2 at the T- Mobile Arena, levelling the series 1-1.

Holtby played out of his skin, definitely earned his pay check during the 5 on 3 power play - how do you not score during a 5 on 3 power play?

I've been very impressed with Trotz - making the right changes at the right time. Also some shocking reffing displayed during this game
