Some fantastic negativity on the match day thread as is tradition. 2-0 to us.

You pick the same team who performed so disappointingly away from home last season then what do you expect? £47 million of attacking players on the bench FFS!

Concede from a corner again. He was totally unmarked, no pressure on the ball. Volleyed in from 15 yards out, central position. Poor organisation and awareness.

We can't do the same things as last season- make no attempt to win away from home and fail, consistently, to defend set pieces. It's going to be a much tougher league this year.

Should we really be that surprised? We’ve rolled out the same team, we’ve deployed the same away tactics, we’re defending set pieces with the same incompetence, we’re losing. Bit disappointing.

Done a Frexit, now in London
So let’s talk about defending set pieces. Obviously CH dodged the question when asked at the fans forum. Pereyara wasn’t marked at all. Had so much time and space. With all 11 players back they were left with their pants down and thumbs up their asses. Do we have enough to get back in this? Based on what we’ve seen so far I don’t think we do.
