What if they don't? Will we get very cross and take back Hong Kong?

She’s so desperate for trade she’ll overlook the lead paint used on children’s toys.

China is not an open market, especially for services.

The UK is dumping its biggest client and is now on the phone cold calling for new business. Its not a good strategy for growing a business

I saw a comment from New York that Brexit is known in America as "Britain's humiliation". I try not to get angry but it does make me peeved to hear people claiming to be the great patriots whilst they help to drag this dear old country towards the mire, cheering as she goes, wetting themselves with joy as Britain turns in on itself.

Nothing wrong with touting for business in China, it is exactly what we should be doing.

At last a sensible comment ... this thread resembles a playground at times. Good to see the PM doing her bit to improve Sino UK relations and boosting trade links.

At least parents have a choice with paint on toys,as opposed to having poisons forced down their throats every day from German cars!

How's your Abbey Life pension, the day after the referendum you splurged all over this thread about the markets crashing and how it will adversely effect your personal circumstances, haven't had an update ages ?

At least it is consistent with UK/EU negotiations, I.e. we ask for something that just ain't going to happen. There is some hope of Chinese acting properly over patents in future, as there are a huge number of patents being filed from China. Can't see them letting their currency loose though.

It's all right for some... Christopher Chandler, money man behind hard-Brexit backing Legatum think tank, has apparently managed to procure himself a Maltese passport, allowing him the free movement across Europe his campaigning will help deny us British passport holders. Happy days.

Replacing an existing and well established free trading arrangement with your next door neighbour, the world’s biggest trade block and your biggest customer..... for what might happen with China. What a fantastic idea! It makes you wonder why more countries don’t do it.

Very funny. An open trade deal with China. :lolol: May & her flunkies are desperately groveling for second rate scraps. The UK is already a dumping ground for poor quality Chinese tat & patent knock off goods. That's inside the godam customs union! The UK have their backs against the wall and other countries know this. They will get royally screwed over in any negotiations to come.

Maybe Mayhem will offer some of Leadsoms innovative jam as part of any deal?

Ah. This explains why it’s very nice looking but the wheels fall off.
