Yeah, I can't see international sporting tournaments going to the USA at the moment. If Qatar doesn't happen, I'm pretty sure that it won't be the US who benefits.

Australia's on the bench for the Qatar WC no? Would take relatively little effort to do the switch at this stage I'm guessing. Stadia are already in place and in use.

I can't see them moving it away from Qatar, but if they did you can bet they are not liable for these costs.
Suspect it would be a major battle between Qatar and FIFA as CAS, with the only winners being, only again, the lawyers.
