It's definitely nuggit. We don't want all these french words creeping into our language, it has it's own je ne sais quoi without being polluted???

Following on from the great scone debate, my wife and I have been discussing the correct pronunciation of the chewy delight. Is it noogar or nugget? Come on NSC don't fail me. This matters.
