Back in the crazy 90's, the top selling act of the century was new country star Garth Brooks. I wish I'd seen one of his crazy full on live shows, but he decided to put out an album 'as Chris Gaines'. This ridiculous project involved creating the character and a complete back story from 'Chris' being part of a teeny pop trio, one of the band and co-songwriter dying in a plane crash, going solo, rise and fall of his career including serious disfigurement in a car crash etc. 'Chris' was apparently about to make a movie called 'The Lamb', and the album or pre-soundtrack is a 'Greatest Hits package with all his fictional albums and the stories behind the tracks, including two 'new tracks'. Oddly it has become one of my favourite albums:
