Having got just a few seconds of action for the Albion U-23s against Everton three-and-a-half weeks ago, Bojan had his first proper runout for an Albion side today when he started for the U-18s against Swansea City. He scored two second-half goals in a 4-0 win:-

Not to sound harsh but he's come from senior mens football in Spain, so U18 football should be pretty easy for him here.

It should be noted, he has been loaned to Espanyol B, who play at the third tier of Spanish football.

If that's the case what's wrong with our youth teams. I would've thought the matches would be on par with Spanish 3rd string matches

Should be remembered that Spanish Segunda b is regionalised into 4 leagues with many games played on 3G pitches in front of 1k spectators.!!

Not sure U23 football is either, bearing in mind the general trend of results in that trophy (whatever it's called) where U23s (or is it U21s?) play League clubs.

The Checkatrade trophy also features league 2 clubs. Will be interesting to see how our dev squad fare in European competition against the youth teams of Bayern Munich and Benfica this season.
