I work from home 90% of the time and I'm self employed so I might do the odd hour here and there over Christmas. A bit like the rest of the year really......

I'm now ashamed to say that I'm off from the 22nd December - 4th January. Can I bring you workers a sherry and a mince pie?

Working for my own company means i can work the hours i want as opposed to last year when i worked the Christmas break before i left my old employer. Will check the odd e-mail but probably not a lot more #chilltime

At my last company we paid our operatives between £800 - £1000 for a 12 hour shift on Christmas day. Still had problems getting enough guys.
I'll hazard a guess they were overpaid for the other 364 days.

First time in twelve years I've had Christmas off :clap2: Just pot luck with the way my shifts have fallen. Finish on 23rd. Back on the 28th (though I guess that's technically the Christmas Day bank holiday).

Working New Year's Eve, of course. And at the moment, New Year's Day, though I'll be getting somebody else to take that shift for obvious reasons.
