Thanks, funny how that only the gates open time is mentioned and not the start time.

I have just looked at the leaflet that comes with the tickets, it has a list of do's and don'ts - Don't bring your own seating:D

How is the pitch being protected?

Don't think there is a pitch at the moment. Chap posted images on here or Twitter a week or so ago showing the top layer of the pitch had been taken up and was being relaid, one assumes they'll wait till the concert is out of the way before sowing the seeds.
